I highly recommend Posadas.  Defiantly the most social.  Great showers.  $5 dollars a night.  Nice restaurant.  Kitchen area / laundry area.  Mini-pool in the summer.  Even rooms for a little more if you like living nice.  There website URL is http://www.elpotrerochico.com.mx/

Louis, who runs Posadas, will pick you up from the airport.  He speaks perfect English.

There are many competitive services but currently this is hard to beat.  Plus it is a small family run business run by good people.

Dirt Bagging

Sleeping in the park is permitted (and free).  Do not expect privacy or quietness though unless you are willing to walk pretty deep into the forest.  Do not buy groceries ahead of time because groceries will be about half the price that it would cost you in America.  Water is safe in El Potrero Chico because it comes directly from a natural springs.
